Spring is coming?? Win a trip with us!!!

Hello everyone, Hope all is well with everyone and you guys are staying warm. It may not feel like it, but spring IS right around the corner and with spring comes Spring Trophy Season. After a miserable winter and equally miserable winter rockfishing season, I'm itching to get my fix of some big bass. Spring season opens on Saturday April 19 this year and hopefully it will be as good as last year's season. The boat is going on the hill for some maintenance and new additions this week and to get all cleaned and shined up for April. Spring trophy season produced more citations last springr than has since the Anna Lynn has been in the water and hopefully we are going to pick up right where we left off chasing the big bruisers. Our calendar is up to date on the website and weekend dates are almost gone so don't wait too long to get your trip lined up and get your trophy fish since I'm sure you guys have been wanting to get one on the line for as long as I have. There is also other ways to get on board with us this year, we have teamed up with The American Heart Association to auction off a charter in a celebrity chef fishing experience. The idea is to go fishing on board the Anna Lynn with us and catch your dinner, after your trip celebrity chef Chris Hill will come to your home and cook your catch for your dinner. This is going to be auctioned off at their Charity Auction this saturday March 8 along with other great items and adventures. You can view their full list of auction items at hamptonroadsheartball.ahaevents.org/. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at anytime and don't wait too long to book your spring trip and get your trophy fix taken care of for the spring!!!

HOT FISHING IN OCEAN CITY!!! Walk-ons and Open Dates

Hello everybody and Happy New Year's Eve eve!!!
First off I want to apologize for the numerous emails lately, but I want to keep everyone informed of whats going on in the fishing world. We are fishing out of Ocean City and doing very well up here in our new home so far with lots of big fish around, it reminds me of the old days down Va Beach when I first started mating down there, which was a lot of fun. Va Beach hasn't had any striped bass brought in from the ocean to my knowledge as of yet which is the reason we made the jump to the North, if fishing were to get good down there, we'd be gone in a heart beat, a 100 mile long heart beat. The drive to the North for those who have made it so far has proven well worth it and I hope you guys will continue to come with us as this is where the fish seem to be for now. I have had some cancellations due to the extra 2-2.5 hour ride and have some more open dates on the books now. As of now Jan. 4,6-9,15,16,22,23, and 27- Feb. 1 are available. I understand that the extra traveling time makes it tough on you guys that drive up, fish, and drive back all in one day. I also understand that some groups just do not have enough people to make the cost feasible for the trip due to some people not being able to make the trip and I am trying to accomodate those who can't get full groups together by putting together some walk-on trips. Walk-on trips will be available first come first serve and for up to 8 people per trip. The cost for these trips are $170/person and that includes tip and all. I am going to try and get walk on trips together for Jan. 4,6,9,15,16,22,23,27. We need to get at least 5 people for these dates to make these trips work and hope this offers an alternative to those who want to catch some big fish, but don't have a group large enough for a private charter. If you or anyone you know is interested in any of these dates please let us know so we can put you on the list. Hopefully fishing will remain as good as it has been and the signs look for it to continue to be good up here, there are lots of fish and lots of bait for them to eat up here as well as very moderate water temp. for this time of year. Its actually warmer water up here than at the mouth of the Bay. I hope we can see everyone on board soon and hope you all have a great start to 2014!!!

Merry Christmas and Ocean City Bound!!!

Hello everyone, Hope you all are ready for the Holidays!! As we wind down the Bay season with just a couple trips left before Christmas, I look back and am thankful for the fishing we have had some of it has been really good and some of it has been... well a long boat ride with lots of fishing and very little catching. For some reason after the best fall (2012) in the 10 years, I've been doing this mating or running a boat, most of the big boys decided not to come check out the Bay this fall. Its been somewhat of a let down after such a great early fall season and the countless schools of fish still going down the Bay of juvenile fish 15"-25", we knew the big boys would right around the corner in great #s but they never showed. Last winter was a tough year out of Rudee and looks to be another one out of there. I have heard from multiple sources that the fishing is pretty good out of Ocean City Md. and that's where we'll be. I want to make sure all you guys get the best chance to get your trophy rockfish and moving to Ocean City looks like where we need to start our ocean season. If the fish head down to Va Beach, we'll be coming with them but until then we will be fishing out of Ocean City. At most its an extra 2.5 hours of driving but I believe it will be well worth the drive to go up there where the big boys are living. I hope everyone will understand the extra effort we are putting in to be where the fish are and hope to see you up there. I also understand that drive is a long ways for some of you to make like the groups that come down, fish, and drive back all in one day and for you guys don't forget about the spring Trophy season in April and May. I have a deal worked out on hotels that is the same as in Va Beach for your stay if interested. I also have a few more open dates due to the move and have a Saturday opening of Jan. 4, also New Year's Eve and Day have become available as well if anyone wants to try the Ocean City night life for New Years and catch some big fish too. I have attached a link to a youtube video one of my customers made last week one of our better days on the little fish, lots of action and we picked out some decent keepers. Once again I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and hope to see you on board soon as we look forward to a great start out of Ocean City!!!

Back to Back Champs with giant bass!!!

Hello everyone, Hope you all are getting ready for the holidays and enjoying this early winter weather. This weather has had some good and bad effects on fishing. The good is the fish are on the move, the bad is we have had to move south a little early, not to Virginia Beach yet, but down to Windmill Point. We are starting to have consistent catches of big fish and some of them are true pigs up to 45 lbs. We also defended our Chesterfield Fire Dept. Tournament Championship and had a clean sweep of all divisions of the tournament for the 2nd year in a row, we took all the 1st places prizes out of 155 entries. Fishing is getting better and better all the time and we have a few days left on the Bay next week, Mon-Wed. and thats all that is left before New Years. We have a few dates left towards the end of January if you haven't gotten your date picked out or your group together, you better hurry before the 2013-2014 is booked up. Our calendar is up to date on the website at www.c4charters.com for you to grab your date. Don't miss your chance for your winter trophy rockfish!!! Happy holidays to everyon and hope to see you on board!!

Wide open fishing and just a few Saturdays left!!!

Hello everyone,
It's time to put away the short pants and flip flops and pull out the jeans and pull up the big fish!!! Chumming is wide open right now with a few bluefish still around plenty of healthy rockfish up to 28" and they are only going to get bigger!!! Right now we are still chumming and livelining with real solid fishing on a daily basis. The nights are starting to get colder which means the big fish should be starting to head this way, we'll soon be jigging and trolling through birds and bait for the bigger class fish. We still have weekend dates available for chumming through midNovember. In the next 3 weeks to a month we'll have all the ehavy tackle back on board and be catching the real big fish with planer boards and all back in action. We still have some open dates from Nov. 30 to Dec. 17 out of Reedville and plenty of days out of Rudee Inlet through the end of January. Weekend dates and holiday dates are becoming scarce so don't wait too long. We do have 3 saturdays left for the big fish season. November 23 and 30 out of Reedville and Dec. 21 out of Rudee Inlet. November 23 is the CNR Memorial tournament and is open for charter with a chance to win some big $$, we also have one date left for the big Mid-Atlantic Rockfish Shootout out of Rudee on Thursday, January 9 if anyone wants a chance at $200,000.00. This winter season hopefully will be much better than last, it's my opinion that it will be much better. We had a great spring and summer, fall is looking like a repeat of last year with great fishing and I think that will carry on into the ocean. We had a much milder summer and so far a cooler fall so the fish should move on down this year instead of staying to the far north like last winter. Our calendar is up to date online and we are ready to book your trip today. Give us a call for your date and don't forget about our discounts for booking multiple trips!! Tight Lines everyone!!!

Fall Rockfishing is in Full Swing!!!

Hello everyone, Hope you are enjoying this beautiful weather we've had the past few days (just kidding). Hopefully this mess we have dealt with this week won't hurt the fishing because it's been really good out of the gate. Rockfish seasoned opened in Virginia last week and started out wide open, there are plenty of healthy fish waiting to be caught on some of our local chumming grounds. Chumming and livelining has been producing limits of fish up to 28" and a few blues in the mix as well. There are also a few nice puppy drum showing themselves from time to time for us and birds working on some bigger blues as they move south down the Bay for the winter. This is great news for us right now and makes me feel even more confident about this fall and winter. As most of you know, last fall was great, but our winter was hit or miss, with more misses than hits. I'm hoping this milder summer this year we have had and outlooks for a colder, more normal winter that VA Beach will be back to business as usual. I also feel that our Fall Bay season will be a great one as well, seeing good numbers of healthy smaller fish now leads me to believe that we will see great numbers of the big fish from the middle of November until we head to Rudee on Dec 18. We still have a few dates available for our fall chumming and livelining season through Nov. 17, after the 17th I believe we will be trolling full time for the big fish out of Reedville for a solid month of fishing before we head south with the big boys. Our calendar is now open through the first weekend in February to take bookings right on through the bulk of our ocean season, and we only have 3 saturdays left for the entire season. Nov. 30 on the Bay and Dec. 21 and Feb. 1 out of Rudee, Holiday dates are going fast as well with only a couple dates available around Christmas. We do however still have plenty of dates in the first 2 weeks in December when fishing will be great out of Reedville to wind down the Bay season and we have lots of weekdays open in January for the heart of the Ocean run. Give us a call soon so you don't miss out on your date to get your winter time trophy Bass and possibly a shot at a giant bluefin in January at the Beach!!!  Hunters, there are still a few Sundays available to not interfere with the deer and waterfowl hunts so don't miss your chance. Tight Lines everyone!!!!
