The Final Ride

Hello Everyone, I am writing to you all for the final time. It is with mixed emotions I inform you that dad and I sold the Anna Lynn this past month and will no longer be running charters. We would like to thank everyone who fished with us over the past 11 years, we are very thankful for all the good times and great memories we had aboard the Anna Lynn. We hope everyone is being safe during these unsettling times and will be looking forward to getting on the water again soon. Due to the changing regulations and my children getting a little older and being full time self employed now we decided to get rid of the Anna Lynn and focus solely on family and my commercial fishing endeavors. Once again, we would like to thank everyone for all the support over the past years and all the memories we have shared with everyone on board. God Bless you all and keep in touch!!

Rockfish Season is here!!

Hello everyone, November is here and rockfish season is starting to heat up with the help of these cooler temperatures. We had somewhat of a slow start in October this year but things are getting better all the time and should be getting ready to turn wide open soon. The water temperatures are starting to cool shoving bait out of the rivers and creeks and the bass are starting to school up in our open waters making for some great action. We will be moving to Smith Point soon to start our focus on Maryland and Potomac waters where we can still keep 2 fish per person. We have plenty of open dates still with a fair amount of prime weekend dates still available. Our calendar on the website is up to date or give us a call today to talk about getting your trip together for the fall.

Rocktober is coming!!!

Hello everyone, I apologize for being out of contact with letting you all know what's going on the past month. My family and I have moved over the past few weeks and finally got internet service this week. We are all settled in finally and ready to get back fishing. I'm sure some of you have questions and doubts about our new regulations in VA waters. VA has decided that we are going to a 1 fish per person limit this fall because of overfishing. In my opinion, VA jumped the gun with these new regulations as the ASMFC is calling for an 18% cut and we gave them 50%. MD and Potomac waters have held steadfast on their regulations in keeping their fall season at 2 fish per person. As you all know we usually fish all three waters during our fall season being out of Reedville and so close to all 3. This fall, we will be fishing out of Smith Point to try and spend more time in the Potomac or MD waters to get you the chance at 2 fish per person. That being said, we can't control where the fish swim and will always do what we can to get you the best day on the water. We have plenty of open dates starting in 2 weeks through the end of the year and look forward to fishing with you. Give us a call for more information or to get on board today with us.

Cobia are here!!!

Hello all, We are in back home in Reedville and cobia season has begun and has started off Red hot. Saturday afternoon was our first trip and it was a good one, we hooked up on 5 cobia in short order along with a few cownosed rays in the mix. We will be cobia fishing for the next few months and should have some Spanish Mackerel, bluefish, and Red Drum showing up in the next couple weeks. We offer AM and PM trips during the longer daylight hours of summer and we also have our shorter afternoon cobia only trips available as well during the week. We could possibly be putting a few walk on trips together as well so if you are interested in that shoot me an email and I will see what we can do. We still have plenty of weekend dates available in July and August and weekday trips available most anytime. Give us a call for more information or to get your name on our books.

Summertime Rockfishing and Cobia coming soon!!!

Hello everyone, First off, I'd like to thank everyone who fished with us this spring during the trophy season, I appreciate the patience of everyone who came on board with us. We had a few days that were like old times getting our limit in short order, a few where we were thankful for what we had but wanted more, and a few days that were more or less a boat ride with maybe a bite or two. Due to some other obligations and the warmer temperatures getting the big fish out of here a little sooner than usual, we won't be fishing again until May 16th. We will be fishing in the Potomac for the two fish per person season through midJune. With the longer daylight hours now, we offer AM and PM trips for these rockfish. We will be trolling small baits or doing some light tackle chumming. As of now we will be attempting to do make up trips on Friday afternoons, May 17th, 24th, and 31st, so take a halfday off work and come on down to get on board with us, spots are limited to the first 8 people and prices are $125 per person. These trips typically have a lot of action for everyone to get in on the cranking. It's also not too early to start thinking about booking your summertime trip for cobia. We tentatively will be starting to fish for them June 17th, possibly sooner depending on when the fish show up. Take advantage of our weekday afternoon cobia trips when the traffic and pressure is usually a little less on the fish and sometimes we have the whole Bay to ourselves. These trips will continue throughout the summer and our full day trips will include bluefish, Spanish mackerel, bottomfishing along with cobia so bring the family on down. Looking forward to seeing you out there.

Fishing season is finally getting close!!!

Hello everyone, Hope you are doing well and are getting ready for warmer weather which should be right around the corner...I think. We are only a month away from the start of our fishing season and we are busy doing some routine maintenance and a few other odds and ends in the final month before we hit the water again. Just want to let you know that we only have a handful of dates left for the Trophy season, we have 4/25, 4/28, 5/5, 5/7, and 5/11. We do still have plenty of dates for the 2 fish per person starting 5/16 and will be running morning and evening trips for the smaller rockfish through June 9th out of Olverson's Marina on the Potomac River before we head back to Reedville for cobia season. We will start cobia fishing June 10th and will continue all summer long. We will also be doing some bottomfishing, trolling, and chumming for blues, Spanish Mackerel, Spot, Croaker, and Red Drum. We o have a new addition this summer to our schedule and will be doing some late afternoon cobia fishing, these trips will leave the dock around 2 p.m. and fish until dark. These trips will be great for the families with busy daily schedules or for the guys that want to clock out after lunch and head down for an afternoon getaway. Give us a call or shoot us an email to get a date picked out for your group or for more information.

Spring Trophy Season and Full Time Fishing

Hello everyone, We have some exciting and nervous news to share with our customers. This year we will be running trips fulltime all year long. I have left my position with Omega Protein to focus on expanding the business and working on the water commercially full time. What this means is that any date from the start of trophy season through the end of the year will be available for charter. I will be crabbing and oystering on the days we aren't running trips but will be available 7 days a week from April 20th through December 31st. This is a big jump for us, but we are looking forward to spending that much more time on the water. Trophy season begins this year on April 20th and runs through May 15th this year and we will be ready by then to get after the big boys. This is your best chance of the year to get some of our biggest fish of the year and watching us fish a 34 line spread. From May 15th until the 2nd week of June will be chasing the schoolie stripers on light tackle out of Olverson's Marina on the Potomac River before we head back to Reedville to start our summertime fishing catching Cobia, bottomfishing for spot and croaker, or trolling for blues and Spanish Mackerel. These late May, early June trips are action packed with lots of light tackle action. We have also redone some of the website and have a few new options for trips this summer, take some time and check it out and get your group together to get on board with us. Give us a call or shoot us an email today for more information or to get your date booked.
