Spring Trophy Season was a success, one last chance for spring rockfish!!!

Hello everyone, First off, I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of our spring trophy season this year as it was our best one since we've been running the Anna Lynn. We finished up today with 54 Maryland citations in 24 trips!!! Overall we had some great days on the bay, we only had one trip where we didn't bring any meat home. There were a few trips that were "wham, bam, thank you mam, on the way home early", a few where we had to work all day to get our limit and a few where we had some nice fish, but didn't quite fill the box. Still it was the best overall season we've had and I'm very thankful for all of you who had a chance to get on board and be a part of it. For those that didn't get a chance to get one of these trophies, but still need to get your rockfish fix on there is one last chance. We will be fishing this coming Saturday out of Olverson's Marina for the school class fish, the 20-32" fish have shown up in great numbers over the past week. Last week and this weekend, we called them heartbreakers, but as of tomorrow they are meat in the box when the limits increase to 2 per person and 20" minimum. Saturday 5/21 is available for full charter or walk on, these trips usually are action packed with lots of pullage and a nice grade of small-medium class fish and its still a few big ones that will surprise us from time to time over the next couple weeks. If we have enough interest for a walk on saturday, it will be $125/person which includes tip and fish cleaning. We will take up to 8 people saturday and spots will be first come first serve. Give us a call or shoot us an email for any qeustions you may have or to get on board for saturday. Once again thanks to all for a great spring season, and its not too early to get your name on the books for summer fishing, fall rockfishing, or even next season's spring trophy season which will start 4/15/2017.

Trophy season in full effect!!!

Hello all, Hope everyone enjoyed the April snow last week and is now ready for warmer weather to finally show up on a consistent basis. This weekend started off our fishing season, and overall it was a good weekend. After all the wind we had last week we didn't get a chance to do any scouting. Reports were spotty as it sounded like it was a few fish everywhere. Saturday morning came and we had a game plan to start with, unfortunatley it was like talking a baseball bat to a football game, we were on the wrong field. We made a move after lunch and ended up with a long but successful day. Today was much better, we went back to where we left them saturday afternoon and had a great day today with fish up to 49.5" 42 lbs. We had 3 fish over 48" and caught our limit, threw some back and were on the way home by lunch time. There seems to be plenty of bait and a fair amount of fish in certain areas within our reach and reports also say there are more fish coming due to a late spawn, its still reinforcements spawning in the rivers. We still have a few dates open, 4/27, 5/3, 5/4, 5/5, and 5/15. We have also had a couple people that can't make our walk on this tuesday on 4/19, so we have 1-3 spots available for $125 per person. Everything is included for this price and with a great weather report and great fishing, it'd be a good day to call in sick to the office. Give us a call or shoot us an email to get your name on the books and reserve your spot.

Spring Trophy Season is here and walk on dates available!!!

Hello everyone, The time has come for fishing again (well almost...10 more days!!!) and we are finishing up our final touches on the Anna Lynn to have her in excellent condition to get you to the fish fast and safe. We have been spending a lot of time the last couple hooks washing and waxing, sharpening hooks and shining up baits and are just about to ready to get her back on the water and fishing. The reports from people who have taken advantage of the nice weather the last couple weeks are very good with lots of big fish around and it sounds like they are all over the middle part of the Bay, which makes for good fishing and short runs for us. I feel like this milder winter we have experienced this year has let the fish move into the Bay at their own pace instead of staying in the warmer ocean waters until last minute when Mother Nature says its time to spawn and they had to come into the cold Bay waters. This should allow for more fish to hang around in the main stem of the Bay for a longer period than the last couple springs. We still have a few open dates left for those who haven't booked a trip yet. We also are attempting to put together a make up trip for those who don't have big group, but want to get in on the action for some of these big fellas. As of now we are tentatively penciling in a walkon trip for 4/19, the cost of this trip is $125 per person which includes all expenses.Walkon trips are first come first serve. For more information on this trip or any other dates we have available, shoot us an email or give us a call to get your name on the books, and don't wait, we only have 7 dates left open!!!

Spring is here and so are the Bass!!!

Hello everyone, It looks like the groundhog was right and spring is here! With these warmer temperatures and longer days around, its got us in the mood for fishing. The only setback to getting ready to fish, is the annual spring cleaning and maintenance. With the weather cooperating we have started our time at the railway, waxing, cleaning, and everything else we do to keep the Anna Lynn in top notch shape for our customers. Its not all fun, but it sure does make you proud when you see your reflection in her and know the only thing missing on her is the fresh blood soon to come. Our spring trophy season kicks off April 16th this year and after last fall and the signs so far this spring plus the changes in regulations, things are looking good. The pound netters are already catching menhaden, which means there is pleny of bait in the area and the commercial fishermen are startiing to catch good numbers of the big rock that are working their way up the Bay to spawn. These signs plus the milder winter than the past couple and the number of osprey pairs already showing up makes us feel excited about what's to come next month. We still have a few dates left, but they are going quick. We still have 4/19, 4/25, 4/27, 5/3, 5/4, 5/5, and 5/15 available. Our rates are the same as last year $650 for 6 or less and $75 for every person over 6, this price includes everything excpet for the mate's tip. Book your trip before 4/1 and get a free T-shirt!!! As always, feel free to give us a call or email us anytime for any questions you may have. Get the flip flops and shorts out of storage and give us a call soon!!!

Spring is right around the corner... we hope!!!

Hello everyone, Hope you all have made it through the winter and are starting to thaw out. Hopefully we've seen the last of the harshness of Old Man Winter and spring is on its way. With spring coming soon, so will rockfishing and we are all looking forward to that. After one of the best fall seasons in recent history and the new changes of size limits in MD. waters, I think we are in for a great spring Trophy season this year. Spring Trophy season this year starts on 4/16 and runs through 5/14 this year and we will be fishing out of Smith Point Marina in Reedville again to keep us closer to the fish at the start of the season. We just opened our booking up for the season and our calendar is up to date on the website, www.c4charters.com. Give us a call or shoot us an email to get your name on the books or if you have any questions about available dates or anything about our trips. Hope to see you on boards this spring!!!

Big Fish and Make Up Trips!!!

Hello to all, Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving wiht family and friends and is getting ready for Christmas and the upcoming holidays!!! Since midNovember we have had some great fishing and it only seems to keep getting bigger and better. We are seeing some 20 lb. fish around now and plenty of 24-30" and even a few hogs around, we have had such great action on these large schoolies to small pigs, we haven't been targeting the real big fish yet. The big fish are here it's just a slow pluck when we've been looking for them.  Just want to update everyone that we plan to fish out of Reedville until December 31 and do not plan on heading to the ocean unless the bass and/or tunas show up on the oceanfront. We still have some open dates available and even have a couple sundays available for those who can't get a chance to get off during the week. We are also attempting to put together a couple walk on trips on fridays, 12/11 and 12/18, for those who want to get some rockfishing in before Christmas but don't have full groups. the cost of these walk on trips are $125 per person and covers mate's tip and all. For more info. on these dates and availabilty give us a call or shoot us an email. Or better yet, call up some of your buddies and get your own group together. We hope everyone has a great holiday season and hope to see you all soon!!!!

C5 is here and we're ready to go fishing!!!

Hello Everyone, Hope you have had a great start to the fall and are ready for these cooler and shorter days we are starting to have. We haven't been doing much fishing lately, but are ready to get the ball rolling on that now. We took off most of the first month of fall rockfish season for my wife and I to welcome our daughter into the world and get adjusted to the life of being parents, it's one of the few things that I will say is hands down better than fishing. Now that we are all settled into a somewhat normal routine, she says it's time for dad to get back to fishing and it will be just in time!! Rockfishing is starting to get really good with lots of school sized fish all over the Bay, we are catching them trolling, chumming, live lining, and jigging all on light tackle. This action should continue to stay great for the next few weeks and as we start getting these cooler temperatures on a more consistent basis, we'll see some bigger fish starting to get into the mix and hopefully continue that trend right on through the end of December. We will be doing things a little different this year and plan to fish out of Reedville, until the end of 2015 and shutting it down after New Year's UNLESS some fish show up down VA Beach and we'll be on the scene the next day, but with the trend in recent years in the ocean, we won't be making plans to fish in the ocean this winter, but who know what Mother Nature will have in store for us. After getting the boat all rigged for rock fishing again over the past couple weeks, we've got the itch and are waiting on you to go out and get in on some of the action!!! Don't wait too long to book your date as over half our weekend dates through the end of the year are already booked. Look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on board!!!
