Old Man Winter hurt us again!!!

Hello everyone, Hope you all are staying warm aren't getting cabin fever just yet, its a long time until fishing season gets rolling again. As I'm sure you all are well aware Old Man Winter was harsh on our ocean rockfish season again, which seems to be a thing of the past. After 2 busts of a winter season in Virginia Beach and a tough winter in Ocean City, MD, I think we are going to stop heading to the ocean unless the fish show back up again instead of being stood up by them for a 3rd year in a row. For some reason the fish seeme to be trending an offshore route which keeps them outside of the 3 mile line and well out of our reach, groups that went offshore tagging fish encountered giant schools of fish from 12-20 miles offshore. They recorded releases of fish up to 68 lbs and hopefully these fish will be coming into the Bay to spawn this spring as they normally do. I apologize to those who had winter trips scheduled that didn't work out and hope to be able to make it up to all of you in the near future. On a brighter and warmer note, spring trophy season is right around the corner. We are going through the motions right now getting the boat cleaned up and hauled out so she'll be ready to go when the season opens on April 18. Our calendar is starting to fill up for the trophy season, but there are still open dates available to get your group on board for some of these monsters as they head up the Bay. Remember our spring season only lasts about a month of catching the big boys before we start to hit our warm days in MidMay so make sure you get your date in by May 10 to ensure your best chance of wrestling these big fish. Our calendar is always up to date on our website, www.c4charters.com, so get your group together soon and join us this spring for a great day on the Bay!!!

        Take care and tight lines,
